Ars Hostiensis (The Art of Hostýn)

Ars Hostiensis – Sacred music in the heart of Svatý Hostýn. Ars Hostiensis is a unique artistic concept that returns world-class sacred music to its natural home: the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at Svatý Hostýn. Under the umbrella of the Concordia Art platform, we are building a tradition that connects this pilgrimage site with professional artistry.

Our Mission

Our goal is not merely to organize concerts. We want Svatý Hostýn to speak to every visitor—not only through silence and prayer but also through the beauty of notes that lift the spirit. The project is built on deep respect for the liturgy and the history of this sacred place.

The Three Pillars of Hostýn Art

To ensure a holistic approach, we divide our activities into three key directions:

1. VOX ARTIS (The Voice of Art)

Sacred concerts in harmony with the liturgical year. We hold concerts during Advent, Christmas, Easter, and significant Marian feasts. In our vision, music is not an accessory but a living expression of the festive season.

2. ORGANUM

The life of the Hostýn organ. The "Royal Instrument" in the basilica is the heart of our activity. We focus on organ recitals, regular "half-hour" performances, and educating the public about the history and condition of this rare instrument. A portion of the proceeds from our events is always dedicated to its maintenance.

3. JUVENTUS (Young Talents)

A bridge between generations. Through our platform, Svatý Hostýn is becoming a prestigious stage for students of conservatories and music academies. We offer young artists the opportunity to perform in the unique acoustics of the basilica and gain invaluable experience alongside seasoned professionals.

We believe that in today's hectic world, people are seeking places for stillness and inner renewal. Music in the basilica offers a different dimension of time and space.
